The Service is intended for high school and college students exploring their college options. Many of our users are minors. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

ScholarMatch AI analyzes 6,000+ U.S. colleges across an 8-factor matching engine and provides personalized college recommendations, career-outcomes data, and EMMA, our AI college advisor. All recommendations, scores, and narratives are informational only and do not guarantee admission, scholarships, financial aid, or any particular outcome. You should always consult a qualified college counselor before making decisions.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@myscholarmatch.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the Service’s source code, data, or models.
• Share, sell, or transfer your account or access to others.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its AI systems.

ScholarMatch offers paid subscription plans: Starter ($19.99/month), Standard ($24.99/month), and Premium ($49.99/month). Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account, which stops future renewals; your access continues through the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable advance notice.

EMMA provides general guidance generated by artificial intelligence. Her responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not professional admissions, legal, financial, or counseling advice. Always verify important decisions with a qualified professional.

The Service, including its software, design, content, and matching engine, is owned by ScholarMatch and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. The information you provide remains yours; you grant us the rights needed to process it to operate the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that third-party data (including federal data sources) is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScholarMatch will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel your subscription from your account.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ScholarMatch operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
